Andrea Landa is a Colombian Legacy Brand inspired by traditional techniques. We bring leather to life through the creation of 100% handcrafted artistic leather wonders done by masters artisans in our own workshop. All of our pieces tell a story and have a bit of our souls and minds in them. They are treasures that will be handed down generation after generation thanks to the mastery of our team and the passion that is put into them.
We invite you to discover our pieces through our techniques & the hands of our master artisans who create them.
Our "Molas" technique is inspired by the traditional Kuna Tribe. A traditional textile craft, made from layers of colored fabric that are stitched and cut using applique techniques to create patterns and pictures. In our version of this technique we hand cut different patterns and overlap them using both sides of the leather; creating color contrasts. Later this pieces are sewed together. Then we hand punch the borders of the figures and cut thin strings of leather to stitch the pieces together. This makes every single piece of our "Mola Family" a handmade treasure.
Molas originated with the Kuna women's tradition of painting their bodies with
geometric designs, using available natural colors.
